Biotech companies in India are known for their exceptional
quality of highly-educated human resource. Most of them earned degrees
in Western countries, especially in the field of process chemistry.
Having a large English speaking population had allowed
the Western pharmaceutical companies to enter into India from the
very early stage. Since India was originally the key player in IT
technology, the infrastructure of the industry has already been
built in place years ago. Generic medicine industry is also growing
and is expected to expand to the level to compete in the global
market in near future.
Rising costs of R&D and depletion of seeds have
became burden on pharmaceutical companies. However, utilizing India’s
experienced human resource and their technology in drug development
with competitive costs have potential to solve these problems. Collaboration
with India could be cost-effective for an efficient R&D in the
future.

Few Japanese companies have established collaboration
with Indian companies in Life Science area, and MediBIC has been
successfully working with Indian companies for the last several
years. We can provide drug development solutions to our clients
in collaboration with our partnerships in Asia.
